How to start a home kitchen business
A practical starting path for home chefs: kitchen setup, first meals, seats, and getting paid.
Starting a home kitchen business does not require a full restaurant build-out. It does require clarity: what you cook well, how many portions you can finish on time, and who nearby will buy.
Start small. Pick one or two meals you can cook consistently. Decide pickup vs delivery radius. Publish a limited number of seats for today’s batch or tomorrow so you don’t overcommit.
On Kicibo, chefs set up a kitchen, create meals, publish seats, accept orders, and receive Cash or UPI directly from customers. The platform does not hold your money in V1.
Before you scale seats, nail timing: when orders close, when you cook, and when food is ready. Regulars come from reliability more than from a huge menu.
