How Kicibo works
A neighbourhood marketplace for independent home chefs. Chefs manage cooking. Kicibo manages the platform.
For customers
Order homemade food nearby
Not an always-on restaurant menu — limited seats in a home chef’s cook batch.
01
Discover home chefs nearby
See kitchens in your neighbourhood with locality and distance — not a full home address while browsing.
02
See today’s and tomorrow’s meals
Home chefs publish what they’re cooking for a service date — today’s meal or order for tomorrow.
03
Choose a meal
Pick a dish from a kitchen. One kitchen per cart keeps the order clear.
04
Order a seat in the batch
You’re taking a seat in a limited cook batch. When seats fill or orders close, that batch stops accepting new orders.
05
Pickup or local delivery
Choose how you’ll receive the meal based on what that kitchen offers.
06
Receive your meal
Pay the home chef directly with Cash or UPI. Kicibo does not hold your money.
07
Review the experience
After delivery, you can leave a review to help neighbours choose.
For home chefs
Cook once for confirmed seats
You decide the meal, the seats, and when to close orders.
01
Create your kitchen
Set up your kitchen profile, cooking location, fulfilment, and payment preferences.
02
Create a meal
Add what you’re cooking — a dish for a meal batch, or ready stock you can refill anytime.
03
Decide how many meals to cook
Set seats for the batch. You control how much you prepare.
04
Publish the meal
Open the batch so nearby customers can order before cut-off.
05
Customers order seats
Review incoming orders and accept what you can cook.
06
Cook the batch
Close orders when you’re ready, then cook once for the seats you’ve confirmed.
07
Deliver or offer pickup
Fulfil the order and receive payment directly from the customer.
Meal batches & ready stock
Two simple ways home chefs share food on Kicibo.
Meal batch
A cook run for a date and meal — for example today’s lunch — with a limited number of seats. Customers order a seat; the home chef cooks for the confirmed count.
Ready stock
Lasting items such as pickles, bakery, or sweets. Home chefs set stock and can refill anytime — no batch cut-off.
