Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 10 August 2026
These Terms govern your use of Kicibo’s website and mobile application. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms.
1. The service
Kicibo is a neighbourhood marketplace that connects customers with independent home chefs and helps them place orders for homemade meals. Home chefs cook from home kitchens and publish limited seats for a service date (today or tomorrow’s batch). Kicibo is not a restaurant and does not prepare food.
2. Accounts
- You must provide accurate information and keep it updated.
- You are responsible for activity on your account.
- We may suspend or terminate accounts that abuse the service, harm other users, or violate these Terms.
3. Roles
Users may act as a Customer, a Chef, or both. Chef features require kitchen setup and publishing according to in-app rules.
4. Orders
- An order is a request for seats in a chef’s batch. Availability depends on seats, kitchen status, and batch timing.
- Chefs may accept or reject pending orders. Customers may cancel only while an order is still pending.
- After acceptance, customers and chefs should fulfil according to the chosen pickup or delivery details.
5. Payments (V1)
In V1, payment is offline between customer and chef (Cash and/or UPI). Kicibo does not hold customer funds, process card payments, or act as an escrow. Disputes about money paid directly to a chef should be resolved between the parties; we may help with order context where reasonable.
6. Food & safety
Chefs are responsible for the food they prepare, hygiene in their kitchen, and compliance with local rules for home-cooked food. Customers should use ordinary care when ordering homemade food (allergies, dietary needs, and fulfilment timing).
7. Content & reviews
You retain rights to content you upload (such as meal photos). You grant Kicibo a license to host and display that content to operate the service. Reviews may be submitted only under product rules (for example, after delivery). Do not post abusive, false, or illegal content.
8. Acceptable use
- No fraud, spam, scraping, or attempts to break the service
- No impersonation or misleading kitchen information
- No use of the platform for unlawful activity
9. Disclaimers
The service is provided “as is.” Homemade food availability varies by neighbourhood and chef. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Kicibo is not liable for food quality disputes between customers and chefs, or for offline payment outcomes between them.
10. Changes
We may update these Terms. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms. Material changes will be reflected by the date on this page.
